I have discovered, in 15 years of freelance design work, that although I love designing with images and words, my strongest skills are in understanding a client and helping them design a big-picture plan for their small business. It takes 2-3 years to get a business running smoothly, although success can be achieved at any stage and any budget if you know your options.

My favorite clients have passion for what they do, provide a service that helps humanity, and have a lot of heart. It takes courage to put yourself out there!

A retainer is a commitment to work each month at a discounted rate ($50/hr). Retainers can be arranged in 3-month, 6-month or 1-year increments. Payments are made monthly, at the beginning of the month, unless other arrangements are made. Payments may be made by check (email me to arrange) or Paypal subscription (check button below). Additional work needed beyond the pre-paid hours will be billed at my regular fee ($65/hr) or postponed until the following month at your discretion. Retainer clients will not receive invoices.

• A retainer is a commitment of up to 5 hours of work per month at a discounted rate ($50/hr).
• Retainers can be arranged in 3-month, 6-month or 1-year increments.
• Payments are made monthly, at the beginning of the month, unless other arrangements are made. Payments may be made by check or Paypal subscription.
• Additional work needed beyond the pre-paid hours will be billed at my regular fee ($65) or postponed until the following month at your discretion.
• Retainer clients are not invoiced.
• Retainer clients will receive a statement at the end of the service period.
• (Additional fees will be applied for requested interim statements.)
• Special expenses such as font purchase or printing are additional.
• Retainer payments do not accrue (roll over) from month to month
• Retainer fees can be applied to arrears
• Work will be planned at the beginning of each month and scheduled in time to accommodate due dates.
• I will make every effort to complete last-minute assignments but they are not guaranteed.
• I will use my judgment in delegating to sub-contractors when necessary to meet my obligations
• Communication is required during the last week of each month to determine projects for each month.
• Either of us may cancel the retainer agreement with one month’s notice.
